January 2011: during the Sharjah International Show Jumping Championship there is a unique class, called Record Competition. During this class the highest jump so far in the Middle East was reached. The class started with 12 riders and ended with 3. All 3 riders broke the 2010 Sharjah record (202cm) and jumped the new 205cm record.

After the riders cleared the 205cm high jump, they decided to attempt for the World Record (247cm hight). Companero 15, the horse ridden by Mohamed Al Kumaiti, cleared the 249cm high obstacle with both front feet but unfortunately touched the obstacle with his hind legs.
